The strong turnout we're seeing on the road won't matter at all if we can't turn out the vote on Election Day. We need the help of every available volunteer between now and 7 pm on Tuesday, when the polls close. Please sign up to volunteer.

Will Missouri And The Nation Be Red Or Blue?

Missouri has always been a bellwether for America; we have always been the barometer about how people feel about the direction of the country. When Missouri wants change, the nation wants change. You have the chance to decide if Missouri and the Nation will be red or blue.

Senator Talent’s false and negative attacks are nothing new. Finally, though, they have received the media scrutiny they deserve. On October 21, factcheck.org posted a piece about how quotes in Talent’s ads are falsely attributed to newspapers when they were actually the words of Claire’s critics that had been printed in the papers.

Last night’s debate followed a trend we’ve seen in previous debates. Claire provided direct answers to tough questions while Jim Talent skirted the issues and resorted to negative personal attacks on Claire and her family.

Another Victory For Claire!

Last night’s debate was another victory for Claire and another sign that Jim Talent just doesn’t get it. Refusing to question the abysmal Bush agenda, Talent stood by his support for the failed “stay the course” policy in Iraq, an energy bill that helps oil company profits more than Missouri consumers, and a prescription drug plan that has profited the big drug companies at the expense of Missouri seniors.

On the Road to Victory!

This past weekend, I had the honor of driving “Big Blue,” the McCaskill campaign RV, around for Claire’s tour of Southeast Missouri as we visited Sikeston, Cape Girardeau, Kennett, Caruthersville, Portageville and Hayti. Although it may seem tough to navigate the RV in and out of county parks, fairgrounds, coffee shops and barbeque joints, the challenge of driving Big Blue was nothing after watching Claire navigate through the hundreds of concerned voters she ran into this weekend who are down right upset about the direction this country is headed. They are ready for a change!

One of the biggest problems we face today is with healthcare, particularly for people who are older and rely on prescription drugs. The Medicare Part D program was written by the drug companies for the drug companies and they’re going to make a bundle off of it.

It's Time For A Senator Who Will Keep Our Promise To Veterans

Friday's debate at the Lake of the Ozarks offered a good look at how Jim Talent runs his campaign. When attacked for voting against veterans' benefits 23 times, he came right out and lied about it. Springfield's KY3 did an excellent job of exposing Talent's record by focusing on the Senate vote this past March, when Talent helped defeat an amendment that would have saved veterans from tripling TRICARE premiums.

Join Me In Support Of Giving Missourians A Raise This Labor Day

As we prepare to celebrate Labor Day weekend, many Missouri families will use the long weekend to barbecue, visit with family, and attend local parades. While Labor Day is a holiday to celebrate hard-working Americans and reward them with a day of rest, Missouri workers deserve more than a symbolic holiday this year- they deserve a raise.
